Description

These events will provide advice and guidance for operational teams to reduce the numbers of stranded patients within their organisations and will share some tools that can be usefully applied to understanding internal and external constraints.


The events will commence at 10.30am (registration from 10.00am) and will conclude at 3.00pm.


Register now for the opportunity to:


  • learn how to safely manage the journey of stranded patients from admission to timely discharge

  • develop a greater understanding of the stranded patient metric

  • find out how stranded patient reviews can be applied to develop improvements in patient flow

  • understand the termininologies - DTOC, medically fit, green to go, medically optimised

  • implement the R of SAFER through: daily SAFER board round processes, peer review, length of stay review, multi agency discharge events (MADE)

We will also have a presentation from a local representative that outlines an area of good practice that is relevant to your local area.


Who should attend?

These Emergency Care Improvement Programme events are open to all operational staff.

Tea and coffee will be provided, please bring your own lunch.
